- This Lantra Awards qualification is now a 2 day Integrated Training and Assessment (ITA)

Course Objectives
- Understand Stationary Rope Work Positioning for Tree Climbing
- Identify a range of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to tree climbing
- Identify hazards and manage associated risks
- Carry out visual tree inspection
- Carry out pre-use inspection of tree climbing equipment
- Choose appropriate anchor points
- Use techniques for safe and efficient ascent and descent
- Establish safe and comfortable work positions
- Carry out SRWP rescue methods
What prior qualifications or experience do I need?
- Prerequisites - City & Guilds or Lantra Awards Benchmark Basic Tree climbing unit
- A good level of fitness.
- Good climbing expereince using a range of new kit is ideal.
Do I have to bring my own kit?
We have SRT climbing kits to hire if required.
Where are the courses held?
Our tree surgery courses are held on site in near Tunbridge Wells, where we have a fully equipped heated workshop and plenty of woodland.
Do I have to do a First Aid course?’
We are pleased to offer an Emergency Outdoor First Aid at Work course threough Sussex First Aid. Ian has a wealth of first aid and trauma experience.
